Dear parents and carers, 

I am pleased to advise that we have worked with East Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove Bus Company to arrange for an additional 28 bus to operate on school days at the same time as the busy journey in the mornings and afternoons only, thereby doubling the capacity available. 

The timings are as follows:

• 07.36 Hailsham Tesco - 08.18 King's Academy Ringmer
• 15.40 King's Academy - 16.18 Hailsham High Street

The extra bus in the afternoon will show '28 Hailsham' on the front rather than '28 Eastbourne', so if anyone wants beyond Hailsham then they should look for the Eastbourne bus which will have come through from Brighton. The 28 Hailsham bus will start on our school grounds. 

From Monday 23 September 2024 the route 28 timetable changes slightly to improve reliability.   The new times will be 07.32 from Hailsham Tesco and 15.43 return from King's Academy Ringmer for both buses.
