Dear parents/carers,
I hope you have had a good week.
A reminder that our parents' survey closes on Monday 17th March. Many thanks for all the feedback thus far. If you have not completed this, please do so via the following link: https://participate.schoolsurveys.com/Jup4ShigDho7jQyV.
We look forward to welcoming Year 11 parents on our second ‘Route to Success’ evening on Monday 17th March, where we will relay tips and strategies to ensure that Year 11’s have a successful run-up to their exams. It was a pleasure to be a part of their mock results' ceremony, and great to see so many happy faces as to the progress they are making.
Assemblies this week have been led by Mr Weir on the subject of online safety. The assembly discussed how students should protect their personal information, use strong passwords, and be cautious when interacting with strangers online. The assembly also highlighted the responsibility to stand up against any online harassment. If they witness cyberbullying, they should report it to a trusted adult or the platform instead of staying silent. Being an active bystander can help create a safer and more supportive online environment for everyone.
This week, Ms Smith also launched the student leadership roles in Year 10 for next year. We are looking forward to the applications, which have a deadline as of the end of this term.
Next week, we will be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March and raising money for Comic Relief. This will be a non-uniform day, with students encouraged to wear something red where possible. For those wearing non-uniform, we ask for a £1 contribution which is now set up on ParentPay.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Best wishes,
Mr Harvey
