This is for students in Year 6 who are applying for a place in Year 7 in September.

  • Children can only be placed on a Year 7 waiting list for a school named on their application.
  • Waiting lists for students starting Year 7 in September, is open from March 1st to August 31st each year, and will be maintained until Christmas. After Christmas, the Year 7 Intake waiting list will be cleared. Following that, parents may join the general In Year Admissions (IYA) waiting list.
  • Waiting lists must follow the school’s admissions policy and cannot be run on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. • We are obliged to fill places in order, based on criteria outlined below:
    1. Children in Care
    2. Students whose siblings currently attend the academy and who will continue to do so on the date of admission
    3. Children of staff members
    4. Children living in the Community Area
    5. Children living outside the Community Area
  • We have 150 spaces for Year 7 2024 and all were filled, as per the above criteria. If any spaces open up (e.g. due to students leaving the school), we will refer to the waiting lists and offer the space/s to the students at the top of the list, ordered as per the criteria above.
  • If a place becomes available to your child, you will be notified in writing by email.
  • Parents are responsible for informing KAR of any changes in their child’s circumstances that could affect their position on a waiting list (for example, a change of home address).
  • Please contact KAR if you no longer wish to be on the waiting list.
